About the Farm

Two Tails Ranch was founded, designed and built in 1984 by Theodore H. Svertesky (1954-1994). The Farm has been home to over 200 elephants over the years who came here to seek care, rehabilitation, temporary housing, retirement and reproduction.

The research that has been done at the ranch has resulted in much needed knowledge about medical issues and in reproduction success. Some of the breakthrough studies done here have been shared world-wide in hopes of helping all elephants.

Our Goal is to continue to learn from these great creatures and to help them into the future, by teaching others and spreading our knowledge so that they may be here for future generations to love and cherish.
